Tiwani Spirulina is located in Tiwi, Kwale. Situated on the pristine south coast of Kenya, East Africa. Tiwani Spirulina grows ‘Arthrospira Platensis’ commercially known as spirulina. Spirulina is a powerful, ancient and naturally occurring super-food. What makes spirulina interesting is that it is one of the richest protein sources on Earth and because it is a bacteria it has no cell wall like plants and animals, which makes spirulina extremely digestible. Utilisation rate is key. Our particular strain originated from Lake Natron. Lake Natron is a mineral-rich soda lake in southern Kenya, on the border with Tanzania. The perfect coastal weather makes for the ideal spirulina growing conditions; clean air and hot sunny days. Our 1 acre farm is built around maximising quality and every stage of the production process has been meticulously designed to ensure a purer final product. We are driven to produce spirulina with the highest overall protein, mineral and nutrient content and in a natural way. At Tiwani Spirulina we focus on producing the finest quality as we wish to stay true to the superfood that spirulina is. We want our customers to feel the benefits of spirulina to the greatest extent. This enforces our business cycle. Our compact farm setup gives us greater control over our precious cultures and the growing and processing conditions and combined together these result in a purer, more potent final product.
